Spy Balloons and Singers for Baal

Recorded between a pair of troubling events – the “satanic” Grammy Awards and the State of the Union speech, in this episode of The Spectacle Melissa Mackenzie and Scott McKay navigate the strange waters of Joe Biden’s America, in which China can float a surveillance balloon in full view of our military and the public from Alaska to South Carolina and nothing is done about it.

The episode is more about culture than politics, as the Spectacle usually is these days. The Grammy debacle leads to a discussion of the music industry and the major changes taking place within it – most of which, interestingly enough, seem to be positive. But there’s a good discussion of the spy balloon and what it means, and finally a quick prediction of the State of the Union (which turns out to be fairly well on target).
